Modern
siderurgy was born in Burgundy in the 19th century. The historical giant forges
of Le Creusot generated associate industries that have kept and developed
specific know how allowing the French nuclear program to grow.
While
numerous countries were leaving aside nuclear energy, France saved, maintained and
enhanced the largest installed base of nuclear energy plants. The success of
the French nuclear program allowed the Burgundy industry to perpetuate its
leadership.
Now
the production and the competences in global engineering and design of the BNP's
members, their mastering of security standards, high-tech manufacturing and testing
processes are unique in the world.
The
French nuclear energy industry is today the more complete and experienced of all,
ready to answer to the global growth of the energy market.
Today all the knowledge for
nuclear energy production is centered in Burgundy: heavy forging, precision
mechanics, non destructive testing, special machines, tools and tubes etc...
